📣 Attention RedotPay Users: To enhance security and protect our community, we are implementing new measures aimed at preventing card abuse. We want to assure you that users who utilize their cards in a typical manner will not be impacted by these changes.

At RedotPay, our commitment to providing a secure and reliable payment experience is paramount. As we continue to grow, we recognize the need to implement measures that protect both our users and our platform from potential misuse. The following updates are designed to promote responsible usage of our card services while ensuring that genuine users can continue to enjoy our offerings without interruption.

Details of the new measures, effective October 25, 2024

1. Small Transaction Fee to Reduce Transactions Under $1

To address the increasing volume of minor transactions, we will introduce a fee for small transactions. Starting from the sixth transaction under $1 within a calendar month, an additional charge of $0.20 will apply for each subsequent small transaction. This measure aims to deter excessive small transactions that can lead to operational inefficiencies while encouraging users to consolidate their spending.

2. Declined Transaction Fee to Minimize Declined Transactions

In order to minimize the number of declined transactions, we will implement a fee structure that applies after multiple declined attempts. Beginning with the fourth declined transaction in a month, an additional charge of $0.50 will be incurred for each further declined transaction. This policy is intended to encourage users to maintain sufficient funds in their accounts and ensure smoother transaction processing.

Reasons for declined transactions include but are not limited to:

  • Insufficient balance
  • Frozen cards
  • Lost cards
  • Inputting incorrect card information
  • Card payment restrictions

These factors contribute to the occurrence of declined transactions and highlight the importance of ensuring that account settings and balances are properly managed.

3. Negative Balance Policy

To maintain the integrity of user accounts, we are introducing a policy regarding negative balances. If an account goes into a negative balance, it will be temporarily frozen. Users will have 30 days to top up their accounts and rectify the deficit in order to resume card usage.

If the negative balance is not addressed within 30 days, or if there are three additional declined transactions after the account becomes negative—whichever comes first—we will cancel the cards associated with the user account and disable card functions immediately. These accounts will be flagged as high-risk accounts.

To reactivate card functions, users will need to repay any owed fees and maintain a minimum balance of $10. This approach helps ensure that all accounts remain in good standing and allows users to enjoy uninterrupted access to our services.

Our Commitment to Users

We understand that these changes may raise questions, and we want to reassure you that they are implemented with your best interests in mind. Our goal is not only to prevent card abuse and any potential fraudulent misuse of our cards but also to foster a responsible and secure environment for all RedotPay users.

We believe these measures will help us maintain a high standard of service while protecting our community from potential misuse. By encouraging responsible usage, we can continue to offer innovative solutions that meet your needs.
